Public house. Late C17/early C18. Colourwashed limestone rubble with timber lintels; thatched roof with brick stacks. 3-unit plan, One storey plus attics. 3-window front has door to left of centre, 2-light casement to left and 3-light casement to right under a brick segmental arch, both windows with plank shutters. Further small casement to extreme right, and three small 2-light dormers. Roof half-hipped to right. Interior: Much altered but retains inglenook fireplace with bread oven. Recorded as an inn in 1684. Building forms one end of a picturesque row facing The Green. (V.C.H.: Oxfordshire, Vol. VII, p.118).
