WEST HAUXWELL EAST HAUXWELL TO SE 19 SE CONSTABLE BURTON ROAD (west side) 8/45 Gate piers, gates and railings approximately 100 metres east of Church of Saint Oswald's GV II

Gate piers, gates and railings forming principal approach to Hauxwell Hall. Early C19. Ashlar piers, wrought-iron gates and railings. Square piers with chamfered rustication, on plain bases. Cornices. A griffin surmounting each pier. Gates with spear finials to plain bars, each gate containing a roundel bearing a lion rampant. Simple railings on coursed- stone side walls of segmental plan, with ashlar coping. Plain ashlar terminal piers, of square plan with pyramidal caps.
