SETTLE DUKE STREET SD 8063-8163 (east side) 10/9 Golden Lion 20.2.58 GV II Inn. Late C19. Rendered, stone dressings, slate roof. 2 storeys, 7 bays. To left is former entrance with moulded surround and decorated lintel with date 1671 and initials G and ET. TT Entrance now blocked, but was former lobby entrance with inglenook to right. This has basket arch of 17 voussoirs dated 1671 on either side of keystone. To left is round headed arch with keystone to former lobby. Rest of interior is C19. King post roof. Included on account of door and inglenook.
