AMESBURY A344 SU 14 SW 5/8 Milestone opposite Stonehenge

II Milestone. Late C18. Limestone, relocated on north side of road. A rectangular shaft with worn top. Inscription reading: LXXX / Miles from / LONDON / II from / Amesbury. Earlier inscription now upside-down on bottom of front, reading AMESBURY.
