MAYFIELD TQ 62 NW 22/544 Turks Farm Oast II Disused oast house. Dated 1827 over central gable. Built of red brick, mainly of Sussex bond with grey headers though the central gable is in English bond. Roof partly slated partly tiled. Dogstooth cornice. Central projecting gable with round-headed stone hoist opening to 1st floor with slatestone above and plank door to ground floor. To the right hand side is 1 pivoting casement and wide opening on ground floor with C20 concrete lintel. Similar arrangement to left hand side which also has kilns with central trunking for cowl. Interior has some ceiling joists with rustic poles, staircase and 2 old wooden fireplace openings.
