TQ 3426 LINDFIELD HIGH STREET (east side, off) 6/231 Donkey Wheel situated approx 60 metres to south of Old Place GV II Donkey wheel. c1884. Consists of circular brick well with cast iron wheel mechanism for attaching to donkey who by treading the brick paved circular treading floor, approximately 15 feet in diameter, raised water from the well. Included as a rare survival of a donkey wheel and for group value with other garden features at Old Place.
