  1. HIGH BRIDGE 1437 (West side) NZ 2464 SE 20/616 Nos. 31,33,35&37 II GV 2.

    Shops and offices. 1903 designed by Cackett, Burns Dick for Wards the printers. Red brick with ashlar detailing. Slate Mansard roofs with various brick stacks. 4 storeys plus attics. 4 bay. Off-ecutre doorway, with double panel doors and elaborate stone surround with segmental pediment supported on exaggerated scroll brackets. To the left a single shop front with recessed central doorway, and to the right a small shop front and beyond a rendered front with doorway. Above 4, 3 storey canted ashlar bay windows, with sashes, the 2 central bays have bracketed eaves above and small dormer windows. The outer bays are topped by curved gables, each with a pair of sashes under single pediment.
