Founded in 1432 to educate Catholic clergy, who were required to pray for "all souls" in purgatory, All Souls is now home to post-doctorate fellows of Oxford University. Its pinnacled main quad faces Radcliffe Square and its lovely chapel features a large reredos with carved figures.
