Built in 122-26 CE, Hadrian's Wall marked the northern boundary of the Roman Empire. Today it is the largest Roman archaeological feature in Britain, stretching 73 miles across northern England. The wall includes milecastles, turrets, and forts and can be explored on foot via the Hadrian's Wall Path.
