1903: Pablo Picasso paints La Vie, an emotional painting of the "Blue Period." Created following the suicide of a heartbroken friend, it expresses the suffering caused by romantic love.
1904: Pablo Picasso settles in Paris
1906: Picasso creates the first Cubist painting, Les Demoiselles d'Avignon
1907: Development of Cubism
1917: Pablo Picasso meets his first wife, ballerina Olga Kokhlova, while working on set decoration and wardrobe for the Russian ballet Parade in Italy.
1918: Pablo Picasso marries Olga Khokhlova in Paris. The newlyweds move to 23 Rue La Boétie.
1920: Picasso's Neoclassical Phase
1921: Picasso and his wife Olga have a son, Paulo.
1925: First Surrealist Exhibition
