Image: Oratory of the Crucifix

The Oratorio del Crocifisso, dedicated to the late 12th-century crucifix that spoke to St. Francis in the Church of San Damiano. It said, "Francis, Francis, repair my house which, as you can see, is falling into ruins." The apse is decorated with 14th-century frescoes by Puccio Capanna and Pace di Bartolo.
