Historical Marker

Historical marker at the east end of Stewart Bridge, which reads: "The Stewart Bridge was built in 1930. During the Christmas flood of 1964 the lower chords were cracked. Repairs were made, but just 4 years later the roof collapsed under a heavy snow. It was again repaired and opened to traffic until Lane County bypassed it with a concrete span in the mid 1980s." Lane County, Oregon. Stewart Bridge, Walden, Oregon, USA.
