Image: Saint Paul at Miletus

Mid-12th-century mural of St. Paul shaking off a viper at Miletus. Upper left of the apse in St. Anselm's Chapel off the south ambulatory. The style of the mural, particularly in Paul's pose and the folds of his robes, is similar to the Byzantine mosaics in Norman Sicily.
