Historical plaque on the Miller Block building (1888 by Frank Miller), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. The inscription reads: "This large red and gray sandstone building was built in 1888 by Frank Miller. It was the first in Colorado to use the Howe Truss, which was intended to support the ceiling from the roof and leave the first floor free of any posts. The building also supposedly had another unique feature: a Two-story outhouse, torn down in 1948. Miller operated his liquor store in the building for a number of years. For nearly 50 years the buiklding also housed a large department store called The Fair Store. Specializing in fine china, its slogan was 'Remember the Fair for Dinnerware.'"
