Anointing of the Body (John 19:39-42). On the left Joseph of Arimathea cradles Christ's head while Mary mourns next to him. On the right, Nicodemus holds a bottle of ointment in his right hand (disappeared) and Jesus' hand in his left. Next to him a servant pours oil onto Jesus' body (only his hand remains).
