6/18 Anna Sewell House (formerly listed as 19/1/52 Beechwood).

House, C18 of red brick with black pantiles. 'L'-shaped plan, 2 store the eastern wing being slightly lower. Attached to adjoining building East facade 3 bays, sash windows with glazing bars and segmental brick arches at ground floor level. South facade 2 bays with entrance door to left. 5 panel part glazed door with timber doorcase with moulded architrave, key block and projecting pediment on consoles. Sash windows with glazing bars. First floor right hand casement window. Rendered plinth, timber bracketed eaves, parapet gable with brick kneelers and stone copings. End stacks. Axial stacks on north south range and at roof intersection. Home of Anna Sewell, 1867-1878, Authoress of "Black Beauty".
