The Domkyrka of Uppsala is the largest cathedral in Scandinavia. The twin-spired, rose-hued Gothic structure stands nearly 400 feet tall. Inside are the relics of St. Erik, tombs of notables and a small treasury.

Gamla Uppsala was one of the most important sacred sites in ancient Scandinavia, hosting human sacrifices and fiery royal funerals. The first Swedish cathedral was built on the ruins of the pagan temple in the 11th century.
