Narrow side of a Romanesque capital depicting the Adoration of the Magi, on display in the chapter house. The scene is a common one but this depiction is exceptional. The faces of the Magi are full of expression and the Christ Child reaches out to touch the first of the gifts. Around the corner behind the Virgin Mary (shown here), Joseph ponders the meaning of it all.
