The theme of religion, entitled Von den Göttern zu Gott, occupies an entire floor of the museum and is full of fascinating works of religious art from many different ages and faiths. Ancient Roman and medieval Christian artworks are especially abundant, with nature religion, Germanic paganism and Judaism also represented.
