South Gallery of the Cloister

Image: South Gallery of the Cloister

South gallery of the two-story cloister, which was almost entirely rebuilt in the 20th century. Original Romanesque capitals from the upper cloister have been placed on columns on the outside of this gallery, from which there are fine mountain views. The capitals date from the 13th century. Saint-Martin-du-Canigou Abbey (c.1009), Roussillon, France.
