HORNCLIFFE MAIN STREET NT 94 NW (South side) 5/64 The Hollies

House. c.1810. Ashlar with Scottish slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Raised alternating quoins. Concrete porch of c.1930 with C19 flush-panel door in bolection-moulded surround; wooden hood on large brackets and flanking oeil- de-boeuf windows. 12-pane sash windows. Eaves cornice. Gabled roof with corniced end stacks.
Interior has staircase with stick balusters, turned newels and ramped handrail. 6-panel doors. One panelled room with panelled pilasters flanking fireplace. The fireplace is pine with gesso decoration including intertwined roses and thistles; central panel of frieze has seashella and seaweed.
