SK 80 NE EGLETON MAIN STREET (south side) 7/27b Home Farmhouse 14.6.54 (formerly listed as: GV II Home Farmhouse with Dovecot) Farmhouse, late C17. L-shaped, 2 storeys. Street front is of ironstone rubble with ashlar bands with 3 stone mullioned windows to each floor, 2 and 3 lights, tall with moulded architraves and hoodmoulds. Angle, quoins, coped gable with large stepped stones. Stone tiled roof is hipped to left. In the right hand gable, a chimney flue protrudes at roof level and carries a moulded and chamfered stone stack. The left hand rear wall is of well coursed rubble. The rear wing is of coursed rubble, 2 storeys, with a new doorway in the angle, then a stone mullioned and hoodmoulded window, a door and casement window both with flat timber lintels. 2 3-light casement windows above. Axial stack to left of main door, and another in right hand gable.
