THREADNEEDLE STREET EC2 1. 5002 (North Side) Nos 37 and 38 (British Linen Bank) TQ 3381 SW 11/344 5.6.72.

II GV 2. 1902, by J Macvicar Anderson (?) Classical building in Portland stone. 4 storeys, top treated as partly recessed attic long frontage with end pavilions and return to forecourt of No 40. Arcaded and rusticated ground storey with Doric columns and segmental pediment to entrance. Order of engaged Corinthian columns and pilasters to 2 storeys above with balustrade at pedestal level and above entablature. Pilastered attic also crowned by balustrade. Single-storeyed lobby with arched entrance and warved relief above linking with No 15 Bishopgate (qv).
