5/19 The Gables
II
House. C17, extended and remodelled in mid C19. Timber framed wing to north, frame exposed on north face with colourwashed brick and render infill, brick extensions to south clad in pebbledash; plain tiled roofs, half-hipped to street front. Two storeys with single storey shop wing to right (North) end. Street front: stack to centre of half-hipped range, further stacks to left. One single pane sash window to first floor centre, angle bay window below. Two square shop windows to right flanking recessed door. Main door to left in set back range under gabled hood. Left hand return front:- Two gabled wings, with one 3-light "cross" window on each floor of each gable. Door to left under braced gabled hood.
