10/30 The Old Manor House GV II
House. 1762. Brick and tile. A rebuilding of a larger house: L-shaped block. Front (South) of 2 storeys and attic, 2 windows. Steep ½-hipped roof, brick dentil eaves. The west side has header bond and the east Flemish bond, rubbed flat arches to the ground-floor, cement plinth. There are early C19 upper casements, and lower sashes in exposed frames. Late C19 ½-glazed door within a trellis porch with a gabled slate roof: above the doorway is a recessed brick inscribed WC 1762. The end walls have attic windows, the east end with an attached stepped stack, the west with 1st and ground-floor case- ments, and between them a recessed brick inscribed WC 1762. The rear (North) wing of 2 storeys is lower, with flint walls, but an extension (mid C19) is in brickwork: casement windows.
