2/124 Grange House

House and byre. Early C18. 2-cell, probably originally central direct entry, now end entry to staircase lobby, with byre to left. Limestone rubble brought to course, pantile roof. Single-storey byre, house of 2 storeys, one first-floor window. House: C20 door to left, 2-light Yorkshire sash in position of former doorway to centre and sash with glazing bars to right. Wooden lintels to ground-floor opening. Evidence for raising of eaves course to accommodate 2-light Yorkshire sash to first floor. Ridge and right end stack, with further stack rising through rear pitch of roof. Byre: to left a small outshut with board to right return. Boarded window opening and board door to right. Wooden lintels. Sprocketed eaves.
