GV 'Black Boys' Hotel

Early C17. Colourwashed brick, black glazed pantile roof, hipped on south side. Two storeys and attic. Brick pilasters. Sashes with glazing bars. Two flat-roofed dormers. Central bow window with learned glazing and entrance door. Balcony with glazed double doors with segmental head, with internal railings. Balcony flanked by Ionic pilasters. Moulded and coved plaster eaves cornice. Shaped gable with internal chimney stack on north side. Moulded brick string course on south wall. Red brick and pantile wing to west. Good Jacobean staircase with two turned balusters per tread and coved tread-ends. Much-altered internally.
