NORWOOD MAUD LANE SE 25 SW (east side) 7/78 Maude Lane Farmhouse GV II
House. Dated 1684 with C18 and C19 additions. Coursed squared gritstone, grey slate and stone slate roofs. 2-storey, 2-bay central lobby-entry plan with added cellar to rear left and an added bay to right. Quoins. Gabled single-storey porch with shallow cambered arched lintel inscribed "H P 1684"; 2-panel inner door. Recessed chamfered mullion windows: ground floor left of 3 lights, one mullion removed, to right of 4 lights, 2 mullions removed. To first floor the windows of 3 lights are under the eaves. Shaped kneeler and gable coping left, gable coping to right. Large ridge stack above door. Added bay to right: square window with stone lintel first floor, left. End stack right. Interior: not inspected at resurvey but reported to contain massive back to back hearth with original staircase beyond.
