TQ 3079 SW CITY OF WESTMINSTER SMITH SQUARE, SW1 101/80 5.2.70 No. 34 (Thorney House) G.V. II Corner terraced town house. Dated 1913. Red brick with sparse Portland stone dressings, tiled roof. Restrained neo-Georgian. 3 storeys and dormered mansard. 3 windows wide with 5-window return to Dean Trench Street. Stone dressed central doorway with Ionic pilasters and segmental pediment enclosing cartouche. Flush framed glazing bar sash windows with brick stepped keys to flat gauged arches; central window above door has cornice. Stone plinth, cornice and parapet with coping.
