WIVLESFIELD DITCHLING ROAD 1. 5206 More House (formerly listed as More House Farmhouse) TQ 32 SW 1/54 17.3.52. II

  1. This was originally a moated house and there are remains of the moat to the south and west of the house adjoining the gazebo. It was occupied by the More family until 1769. The building is L-shaped. The east portion is C16, altered in the C18 or since. The west of L-wing was added by John Fuller between 769 and 1780. Two storeys. Five windows. Ground floor aced with cement, above tile-hung. Tiled roof. Sash windows with glazing bars intact.
