TL 1243 OLD WARDEN HIGH STREET (West Side)

12/151 Nos 36 and 37

GV II

Pair of Shuttleworth Estate cottages. Plaques shows 1881 and Shuttleworth emblem. Colourwashed roughcast render with applied decorative timber framing, probably over brick structure. Clay tile roof with bands of fishscale tiles. L-plan, one storey and attics. Cottage ornee style. Cast iron lattice casements throughout, mostly of 3-lights. Gabled open porch to S elevation. External chimney stack to S wall, multiple ridge stack to N block, both red brick with octagonal flues with moulded cornices. Included for group value.
