ST 30 SW THORNCOMBE 1/119 James Lears Farmhouse 4.12.51 II Farmhouse and attached cottage. C17 with C18 alterations. Rubble walls, painted, with stone quoins and brick dressings. Thatch roof. Two renewed brick stacks, one at each gable. Plan: perhaps former longhouse type with c18 raising of eaves and roof pitch. Two storeys. Three windows, wooden casements with glazing-bars. Outshut at front with concrete pantile roof. Rear elevation with C20 metal-framed windows. Interior: plank doors, otherwise refurbished.
