SD 80 NE ROCHDALE BROAD LANE (north side) 7/31 No. 31

G.V. II

House. c.1800. Watershot stone with stone slate roof. One room wide by 2 rooms deep with passage to right hand side. Stone quoins and sill banding. The door has one piece stone jambs and lintel, as does the ground floor window which is wide and accommodates 3 sliding sashes. On the upper two floors 5-light windows have flat-faced mullions. The end lights of each have been blocked in, the others are square in proportion, the central one having a sliding sash. It would appear that this was the original form of the windows. The rear elevation has 6-light mullioned windows to first and second floors.
