Oak Cottage Chartridge, England

My husband Douglas and I lived in Oak Cottage from about November 1978 to September 1979. We have fond memories of cows in the back yard; the hunt going up the lane; coal fires; the Bell. The gardens were unkempt, but there were beautiful flowers growing. One day I'd pick all pink flowers; the next time all yellow flowers; and so on. The plumbing was primitive. No one in the village or the pub ever spoke to us.
