CHURCH STREET 1. (South End) 5187 Part of former Mausoleum now used as stage in Priory Gardens SZ 1692 1A/152

II GV

    1. Wall, said to be part of a former mausoleum, moved from churchyard and re-erected here circa 1803, C18 Gothic. Plastered facade, centre section advanced under ogee pediment, obelisks as finials. 2 storeys high. Blind Gothic arcading under pediment enclosed in larger Gothic arch. String course below, then round arched arcade, then plinth. Flanking recessed portions each containing a round arched doorway, eastern one blind, string course at impost height. Blind round recess above with architrave and outer pilasters.

The boundary walls of Priory Gardens form a group with the stage in the gardens.
