BURTON ROAD (OFF) 1. 5174 Newhall (north-east side) Midway Farmhouse SK 32 NW 2/9 II GV

  1. Late C18/early C19. A farmmuse with gable end towards Burton Road but set in garden with farm buildings at rear. Red brick with brick eaves band and cornice. Tiled roof with end stacks. Two and a half storeys. Symmetrical facade with 3 windows (outers of 3 lights, centre of 2) and centre door. Casements with glazing bars and cambered head linings. Eastern ground floor window now replaced by C20 square bay. Six panelled door with quadrapartite fanlight above. Attic window in gable end. Rear 2 storey crosswing with roof carried down steeply from same height ridge. One window, end chimney.
