SD 58 NW NATLAND HELM LANE
2/14 High House Farmhouse
G.V. II
House C17 with later alterations. Slobbered rubble walls with plinth, graduated slate roof with stone ridge. 2 end chimney stacks to main house with oval shafts, 1 chimney with circular shaft to rear extension. Probably originally 2-room plan with extension at lower level to South and at right angles to West. 2 storeys. 3 C19 horizontal sliding windows and 1 C19 sash to ground floor. Boarded door in extension to left, C20 door to main house. 1 horizontal sliding window and 3 casements to upper floor. Interior has C17 beams and fire beam; circular oak staircase with oak newel and moulded balusters; C17 panelling and doors along landing; spice cupboard with initials TWE and date 1666.
