  1. 1871, by F J Ward. Painted stone. Free use of Renaissance motifs. 4 storeys with a strong horizontal emphasis of cornices and modelled sill bands returning around rounded corners to plainer elevation to Pancras Lane. Windows grouped between broad pilasters. 4 storey centrepiece with Venetian windows on 1st and 2nd floors with paired Corinthian type columns and pilasters to left and right; flanking 2 storey canted bay windows. Rich foliated frieze and bracketed cornice, elaborate surmounting balustrade.
