11/2 Gateway about 70 metres north of Ash House - GV II

Gateway. C18 or early C19. Ham stone, cast iron gate. Ashlar square piers with chamfered plinth, cornice type caps and pineapple finials; gate an early C20 farm-type in cast-iron, horizontal rails, quarter-circle bracing and scrolls to top rail. Presumably at one time another gateway into Ash House (q.v.).
