TG 2308 NE THE CLOSE 17/216 26.2.54 No. 56 (formerly listed with Nos. 51 to 55) GV II* House C16 and later. Flint and brick to the right, central brick quoins, flint and brick chequer-work to the left. Pantile roof. 3 storeys. 4 irregularly spaced second floor windows. Right-hand off-centre door with porch supported on turned columns. Simple door surround. Casement windows at ground floor with segmental arches and one sash window. 2-light casement windows at 2nd floor and one sash window to right.
