TQ 7415-7515 BATTLE HIGH STREET (south west side)

41/14 No 17 (Priory House Hotel) (formerly listed as 3.8.61 No 17 (Priory Guest House).

GV II*

Dated 1700. Three storeys and attic. Five windows. Three gabled dormers. Plastered front, ground floor rusticated. Cornice above ground floor. Modillion eaves cornice with egg and dart moulding below the modillions. Tiled roof. Windows in moulded architrave surrounds with glazing bars intact. The centre first floor window has a scrolled pediment over. Doorway with flat hood over on carved brackets, narrow rectangular fanlight and door of six fielded panels. Good staircase.
