NORTH STREET 1. 972 (West Side) No 31 SU 8605 SW 2/19 5.7.50. II* GV 2. C18. 3 storeys. 5 windows. Mansarded roof with large gabled dormer window added in C19. Dentilled brick cornice below eaves. Narrower vertical bands of grey headers alternating with wider bands of red brick (red brick in window bays). Sash window in shallow reveals in flat arches; rubbed brick voussoirs; all glazing bars intact. Very large 3 light projecting bow over door, stuccoed, with pilasters and moulding on architrave. Below, flat headed porch with Adamesque moulding on frieze supported by columns. 6 panel moulded door; door in panelled reveals. Plate-glass shop window to north in horizontally fluted frame.
Nos 27 to 32 (consec) and No 32A form a group.
