This basilica is as beautiful inside as it is outside. I attended mass there in 2011 on my first
visit to Lourdes. The visit was inspiring and unforgettable. St. Bernadette and her visions
of the Virgin Mary, who she identified as the Immaculate Conception, are a defining event
in my Catholic faith.
