Candle Beams

Beams of wood or iron between the chancel and the nave of a church upon which candles are placed, and on which the rood usually stands; the term also refers to any supports that resemble such beams in ecclesiastical settings; any T-shaped or horizontal beamlike or rail-like candle supports.
