  • Hampton Court Palace London, England 1514

    Begun by Cardinal Wolsey in 1514, Hampton Court Palace became the favored residence of King Henry VIII after 1529 and was expanded by Sir Christopher Wren for William III after 1689. It is now a museum owned by Historic Royal Palaces.

  • 1-4 Holborn Bars, Staple Inn London, England 1586

    Four chambers with later shops at 1-4 Holborn Bars. The rear of these buildings form Nos 4, 5 & 6 Staple Inn. Built 1586 for Vincent Engham, Principal of the Inn. A unique example in London of a Cl6 group of timber-framed houses.

  • The Church of St Mary Deerhurst, England

    This church near Gloucester is a mix of English architectural styles from Saxon to Tudor. Notable features include a Saxon spiral-carved font, Saxon sculptures and medieval stained glass.

  • Pemberton House Lincoln, England

    Merchant's house, now offices. c1543, extensively restored 1929 and 1970. Timber framing, with arch braces, plastered nogging, rubble plinth and plain tile roof with a brick valley stack. 2 jettied floors with brackets on south and east fronts.

  • Thornbury Castle, Inner Court Thornbury, England

    All existing buildings begun 1510-1511. Building continued until 1521 (one stack is dated 1514) when the duke was executed.

  • Fountain in Great Court Cambridge, England

    Erected in 1602 and repaired in 1716. An outstanding example of the work of the date. Cliffe and Clipsham stone ashlar. Completely rebuilt by Robert Grumbold in 1716, and repaired at several later dates.
