Priory
Part of the Cathedral Priory of St Mary, founded in 1043.
The Undercrofts are the best preserved remains of Coventry's original Benedictine monastry. They consist of stone vaulted rooms, a courtyard, doorways and passages.
The white paint indicates those parts that were the outside of the buildings.

Scheduled Ancient Monument. Exposed foundations on a sunk plot of ground; converted int a garden and immediatelyadjacent to houses above. Gully the base of the west front of the important Cathedral monastery of St Mary, founded l043, remains.
