Micronesia

Comprises many islands, forming a large part of the Caroline Islands; indigenous inhabitants were Micronesian, with a great variety of cultures and languages; formerly part of the United States Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands; main languages are of the Malayo-Polynesian group, including Yapese, Trukese, Pohnpeian (Ponapean), Ulithian-Woleaian, and Kosraean, though English is also widely spoken.
