Maryland Statehouse Annapolis, Maryland

Serving as the Nation's capitol from 1783-1784, the Treaty of Paris, ending the Revolutionary War, was ratified here by the Continental Congress (1784) and George Washington officially resigned his commission as Commander-in-Chief in this building.
