Built in 1772, this adobe house played a major role in Paraguayan history. It was here, on May 14, 1811, that a group of patriots declared the independence of Paraguay. The museum opened in 1965.

Famous jazz musician Louis Armstrong lived with his wife in this simple house in Queens from 1943 until his death in 1971. It has been preserved just as he left it and is now open to the public as a museum.
