Hagar Qim Temple

Hagar — The temple of Hagar Qim, excavated for the first time in 1839, dates from the Ggantija phase (c. 3600 - 3200 BC). It stands on a hilltop overlooking the sea and the islet of Fifla and lies some 2km south-west of the village of Qrendi. The 5,000-year-old Hagar Qim temple is the best-preserved of several ancient limestone temples in Malta. The temple is laid out on a clover-leaf shape of multiple apses with a forecourt and facade.
